God Provides Again
Planning for the New Song park began more than a year ago, and our team realized right away that we wanted a basketball court to be one of the main features of the park. We continued to wait upon the Lord for His provision, and when we announced October’s Landscape the Park Week to ministry friends, the financial support for the court arrived! God has provided once again for the ministry.
Throughout the creation of New Song God has given everything we have needed at just the right time. Whether that has come in the form of finances to purchase the property, a company to build our campus bridge, a material supply store to furnish roof shingles, or many other ministry needs, God has shown his graciousness and faithfulness through the generosity of those who love fatherless children.
The provision of the funds to build the basketball court is another great example of God at work at New Song. After running a brief New Song ad on a Christian radio station in Indianapolis, a couple responded wanting to learn more about the ministry. During the conversation with this caring husband and wife, the park landscaping project came up, as did our desire to build the basketball court.
The couple was touched by the vision of New Song to create a refuge for vulnerable children and youth, and they decided to make a significant, special gift to fund the court in memory of a young man who they dearly loved. The gift is a very meaningful way to honor the grace of God in this young man’s life.
An incredible amount of progress was made during Landscape the Park Week through the many volunteers who participated. We are very pleased to share that the basketball court was excavated, laid out, and poured as a part of the park landscaping project—praise God!
It is so exciting to think about the children who will enjoy the court throughout the many years to come. We thank this special couple who made the court possible, as well as all of the other financial contributors and volunteers who made Landscape The Park Week a success, to the glory of God and for the sake of children.
